Counseling Rates & Policies:
First (intake) Appointment Rate: $150 for 50 minutes
Regular Rate: $120 per 50 minute session
Student/Educator/Farmer/Military (including retired) Discount Rate: $100 per 50 minute session
Sliding Scale/Reduced Fee Rate: Arrangements may be available.
Self-pay via cash, credit card/HSA/FSA, Venmo, or check. Payment is expected at the close of each session.
Cancellation & Missed Appointments: Please give a 24-hour notice when canceling or rescheduling your appointment. If more than 15 minutes late, the appointment will be reschuled. If you miss an appointment or cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before your time, the full session rate will be charged. Exceptions may be considered in case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. Clients must communicate these situations as soon as possible. Three missed appointments may result in termination.

Why self-pay and not insurance?
Private payment offers significantly greater privacy. Having insurance does not ensure your privacy. Insurance claim processing involves a large number of parties and departments.
Also, insurance companies require a diagnosis of mental illness. Not everyone who benefits for mental health support qualifies for a mental health diagnosis. Insurance companies require a diagnosis even if there isn’t one. Even with a diagnosis, they will often only pay for particular disorders to be approved for mental health therapy.
Upon your request, I can create a 'superbill' of your appointment(s) for you to submit to your insurance company. A diagnosis code will be required.
